can i control ip based camera by using internet ?
i am planning to buy ip based camera.
can i control the ip camera through my website and i also want to review, record and watch live video by using my website.
i don’t want it to broadcast .
what i need to do this things?
whether i require the internet static ip address for this ip camera or not ?
The system will run on a computer on your network with an IP, or it will have its own IP if its a stand alone system.
So its just like you computer, you will only be able to access it if you have port fowrding to that IP (provided you do have a router/firewall)
As far as broadcasting? I dont think you can broadcast to the internet 
If someome stumbles on the IP they may see you have a cam, and they can attemp to login, but just keep a good password on there….
But yes, you can, just foward the ports on your router/firewall, then on the internet go to http://YOURIP and it should popup the login info for the cam….
