Do u have the DZT-50-9 Motion Sensor Stainless Steel Trash Can?

I got it a at costco almost a year ago! I loved it for a while! but now its seriously driving me crazy!! it keeps opening & closing all day & night without anyone even coming near it!!!! does yours do the same?

I have a friend who has that one. His is also possessed. Make sure the sensor is clean — Other than that you may want to go back to a caveman (read:foot-operated) model (or disconnect the battery)… I’ve found that most trashcans these days are not built to last by design, so try not to spend so much and you’ll be less disappointed when it invariably breaks. Avoid SimpleHuman cans, they’re garbage.
