How many CO detectors, required placement, and by when under the CA SB 183 law for landlords?

How many CO detectors, required placement, and by when under the CA SB 183 law for landlords? I cannot find specific information on these topics. there are different types of detectors (wall plug in, battery op etc.) do they all meet the requirements? Please Help!!

One CO2 detector on each level of the single family unit, i.e. 2 level duplex = 4. Hard wired, plug in or battery units are all acceptable.

Unit should be placed in a common area, family room, hallway, etc.
