Do honeywell wireless sensors work on ADT wireless systems?

So currently I am preparing to restore my Security System back to working order. We used to have a DSC 832 system, then we got the ADT safewatch 3000. Well the hardwired zones are only downstairs and they’re only door/window contacts. We got a few wireless sensors in one bedroom upstairs but none of the other rooms. Which I think was a S****y job if you ask me. So I want to add a few motion sensors, some window contacts. ADT wants to charge me around $400. I’ve found NIB honeywell/Ademco sensors on eBay and I want to know if they’re compatible with my system. If they are then I can do the work myself.

$400 is crazy. Are you adding wireless or wired sensors? The sensors should work since all they do is send a signal to the base unit that the motion has been detected. However, the one thing that takes a bit of work is to program the unit to pick up the motion sensor.

That manual doesn’t go into detail about the installation though. I did however find a manual that does cover installation and programming on these types of units:

Try it out with your unit and try some of the easier programming methods first to verify that the programming manual will work with your system. Many of the Security Systems are produced by the same companies but Security Companies will put their own label on them. It’s like cell phones, there is one major manufacturer who makes a majority of the phones for the different companies.
